How do we know what it’s like on a far-off planet? Scientists use rainbows to tell us what elements are in the atmosphere far away planets. They do this by examining how intense the light is in each colour. Is blue brighter than yellow, or is this specific red brighter than this other red?
In this workshop we will be building a paper spectroscope to take home, experimenting with the colour of the sky, and learning about STEM trailblazers Sara Seager and Cecilia Payne.
