It is rocket science!

Let’s learn about rockets in flight and the four forces that act on them: weight, thrust, and the two aerodynamic forces, lift and drag.

Kids will be:

  • ★ making sled kites to learn about drag,
  • 🛰 experimenting with a Pop Can “Hero Engine”, making, designing
  • 🚀 launching a bottle rocket, and tracking its flight of our rocket with a homemade Launch Altitude Tracker.

Your brain controls everything you do, receiving information from your senses to tell you what is happening around you. You will start this week exploring how the brain works and the parts of the brain that help it do its job. Make a polymer clay neuron and a “thinking cap” and map out your homunculus.

Finish the week exploring sensations and perceptions and illusions, creating your own infinity mirror.

Of course there will be lots of games and time outdoors. See you this March Break!

$115 CAD taxes included

June 2 @ 9:00 am – 4:00 pm EDT

In 1854, Ana Atkins used a newly discovered technology called cyanotypes to record all the specimens of algae found in the British Isles.

In this workshop, you will capture your own cyanotype image on a piece of cotton paper or cloth. Kids are welcome to bring their own piece of clothing or cloth to make a cyanotype print. Each camper will be able to make a minimum of two cyanotype prints. Create a record of the world around you with cyanotypes.

Microbes! Microbes are everywhere! They’re responsible for so much. Without microbes, we would not exist!

In this workshop we will be making a felt microbe, experimenting with Glo germ, inflating a balloon with microbes and learning how to use a pocket microscope.

Kids will be introduced to Florence Nightingale’s statical work and data analysis that changed history!

We wouldn’t know much about the impact of microbes on our health and wellness without the inspirational STEM trailblazer Florence Nightingale, the lady with the data!
