Every plant and animal species, no matter how big or small, depends to some extent on another plant or animal species for its survival. In this session we will learn about food chains and how energy is transferred from one living thing to another via food.  We will learn about a soil food web focusing on earthworms and the important part they play in every day life.

Students will have the chance to dissect a paper earthworm specimen.  They will learn about the important work of STEM trailblazer Rachel Carson.
